Abstract
The infrared spectra of five isotopic variants of monoethyldiborane, C2H5B210H5, C2H5B2H5, C2H5B2D5, C2D5B2H5, and C2D5B2D5, are analyzed and frequency assignments are made. The frequencies and intensities of the various bands are compared with those in the corresponding monomethyldiboranes and the related terminally substituted B2H5D and B2D5H, as well as with triethylboranes. In addition, vapor‐pressure data in the — 58° to — 110°C range for isotopically normal ethyldiborane are reported. Keywords
