Abstract
Experiments designed to measure the effect of estrogen on the time and extent of putrescine or cycloleucine uptake by the immature rat uterus revealed no evidence for effects on polyamine or cycloleucine uptake within the first hour after estrogen injection. Small but statistically significant increases in the uptake of both compounds could be seen at 2 hr. Marked increases in the uptake of both compounds occurred at 4 hr. after estrogen and area associated with the often reported increase in vascularlty and permeability of the uterus at that time. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
