Abstract
Total charge-transfer cross sections have been calculated for H+-H collisions taking account of nuclear symmetry at incident energies between 2 ev and 2 kev. It is shown that nuclear symmetry has negligible effect on the cross sections above 3 ev. The cross sections are above the Dalgarno-Yadav values but they are still below the experimental cross sections of Fite et al. It is suggested that this difference might be partly due to the geometry of the apparatus and partly due to scattering near the rainbow angles associated with the gerade potential. Keywords
