Abstract
The differences in resistance of cells of normal persons to saponin haemolysis, determined quantitatively, are small. A method is described for studying the relative resistances of the cells of different animals. Quantitative results obtained confirm the findings of Ryvosh. Studies on varying the strength of cell suspension in haemolytic experiments show that the monomolecular formula is inapplicable to haemolysis by the simple haemolysins, for very unexpected relations are found. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
