Abstract
Groups of heavily infected tuberculous mice were treated for the first 3 months with different combinations of isoniazid and streptomycin, and then for 9 months were given isoniazid alone. Identical groups of mice were treated for 12 months with a corresponding combination of isoniazid and streptomycin. The results obtained with the first mode of treatment were as good as those obtained with the second, provided that the combination initially employed comprised a high dose of isoniazid and that the streptomycin was given daily. Keywords
