Nucleon momentum distribution inH2fromy-scaling analysis of inclusive electrodisintegration

Abstract
The nucleon momentum distribution in the deuteron n(k), for k≤0.6 GeV/c, is extracted from the inclusive process H2(e,e’)pn by a method based upon a theory of y scaling in which the nucleon momentum and binding are properly taken into account and the effects of final state interactions are also considered. The obtained momentum distribution remarkably agrees with the one extracted from the exclusive reaction H2(e,e’p)n as well as with predictions from realistic two-nucleon interactions.
