Abstract
The nucleon momentum distribution in the deuteron n(k), for k≤0.6 GeV/c, is extracted from the inclusive process (e,e’)pn by a method based upon a theory of y scaling in which the nucleon momentum and binding are properly taken into account and the effects of final state interactions are also considered. The obtained momentum distribution remarkably agrees with the one extracted from the exclusive reaction (e,e’p)n as well as with predictions from realistic two-nucleon interactions.
