Abstract
Egg masses of the barnacles Balanus eburneus, B. amphitrite amphitrite and Chelonia patula were investigated at various temperatures in excessively high (40-60%) and excessively low salinities (15-25%). Between 25 and 40%, development time was normal, but at the higher and lower salinity ranges, the development was delayed and many of the eggs did not hatch. The salinity tolerance was not affected by temperature differences. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
