Abstract
A child with neurological disabilities of behavior, attention, or learning can be helped by informed parents and teachers. Benefits may result from attention to several key areas: (1) understanding the individual child, (2) structuring the environment, (3) setting good examples and standards, (4) controlling with loving firmness, and (5) providing opportunities for success, to build self-esteem. This article presents some suggestions in these key areas. Keywords
