Abstract
Pamela Lomax is Professor of Educational Research and Janet Darley a lecturer in the School of Economics, Kingston University. In this paper they report on research which examines how primary schools have collaborated and what effects (if any) the changes associated with LMS have had on their relationship with each other. The competition for pupils is singled out as the main cause of breakdown of good relationships and the decline of the role of the LEA is identified as forcing heads to develop 'new' inter- school links. Keywords
