Abstract
21 cases with elevated serum pancreatic enzyme detns. without intrinsic pancreatic disease are reported. Five were in association with perforated peptic ulcers, 4 with partial small bowel obstruction, 8 with acute peritonitis, one in a volvulus of the stomach, and 3 in association with uremia. The highest serum amylase of this series was 400 mg.%, and the highest serum lipase 6.2 ml.Keywords
