Abstract
Little has been written about the midwife and her role in the care of previously traumatized women, the acknowledgment of post-traumatic stress disorder in her clients, or how the knowledgable and empathic midwife may use her understanding of her client's vulnerability to promote a positive birth experience. This second in a two-part article seeks to increase that knowlege. Keywords
