Abstract
Using a simplified multiperipheral model, we study the behavior of the longitudinal pion spectrum for the process anything in the region of small values of . We expect the occurrence of an inverted cusp in the spectrum at very large energies and the appearance of noticeable effects at the energies of the CERN intersecting storage rings.
