Abstract
The authors present a model for above-threshold ionisation (ATI) phenomena that includes an infinite number of continua, in which the continuum-continuum matrix elements decrease with increasing energy. The model leads to a closed-form expression for the mth photopeak amplitude. The multiphoton index k varies with laser intensity from N+m-1 to N-1 for this peak. Keywords
