Abstract
The comparison of circular dichroism or rotatory dispersion data leads to a classification of trigonal coordination compounds (symmetryD3,C3) of trivalent chromium and cobalt according to the size of the metal‐ligand‐metal ring (five‐ or six‐membered ring, without or with n‐bonding). Within these classes an assignment of the optically active absorption bands is proposed. Keywords
