DILATATION OF THE LEFT ATRIAL APPENDAGE

Abstract
Two patients with dilatation of the left atrial appendage are described with a review of other reported cases. Although this is a rare condition it should be possible to make a correct diagnosis. Resection of the appendage is advised to prevent emboli arising from thrombosis within its cavity.Keywords
