Abstract
Absolute total electron scattering cross sections were measured with a time‐of‐flight electron transmission spectrometer for incident electron energies ranging from 0.6 to 50 eV. The halomethanes studied exhibit low energy structure which can be associated with electron capture processes. Comparisons are made with recent experiments and calculations. Keywords
