Abstract
Electron probe micro analysis and resistance measurement were carried out for multi-phase compound Y x Ba1-x CuO4-y specimens with nominal composition of x=0.4 and 0.5. Two kind of crystal phases with apparently different chemical composition were found. The phase with chemical composition, [Y]:[Ba]:[Cu]=2:1:1, is green-colored and semiconducting. The other phase with chemical composition, [Y]:[Ba]:[Cu]=1:2:3, is black-colored and superconducting below 90 K.Keywords
