Abstract
Injection into a steady magnetic mirror machine by ionization of a beam of neutral deuterium atoms is analyzed. If the neutral beam is switched on in a sufficiently good vacuum, then the trapped plasma density will build up to a steady-state value of interest for experimental study. Keywords
