Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 74-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of dysuria.The patient was a native of Sicily who immigrated to the United States at the age of 14 years. At the age of 23 years he was first seen at this hospital because of five months of diarrhea, with the passage of up to five loose stools daily. He had lost 8 kg in weight and experienced sweats, marked fatigue, and transitory pains in both lower abdominal quadrants. There was no history of nausea, vomiting, or fever.
