Abstract
Group theory has been used to factorize the secular determinants of a number of eight spin systems belonging to the classification AA′A″A…' XX′X″X…' with Td , D 2h , D 4, D 2d and C 2h symmetry as a first step toward breaking down the problems in search of characteristic sub-patterns of energy levels. Examples of the method are given. Keywords
