Abstract
A detailed study of low-frequency magneto-plasma resonances ("helicons" or "whistlers") has been carried out in a series of rectangular parallelepipeds of sodium at 4°K. Many harmonics have been observed and quantitative correlation has been made between the observed resonances and the specimen geometry. The investigation yields the following value for the Hall coefficient in sodium: /C at 4°K corresponding to 0.94 electron per atom.
