Abstract
Current models on operator behavior in supervisory control systems are reviewed with special focus on their usefulness for graphical design of human-machine interfaces in dynamic technical systems. An alternative framework is described and used in a knowledge based approach to represent information search behavior of operators for graphical design purposes.Keywords
