Abstract
The mechanism of nonlinear convective cell formation and the resulting diffusion in an inhomogeneous plasma is discussed. It is found that convective cells excited by nonlinear self-modulation of drift waves will cause strong anomalous diffusion also in systems where the linear convective cells are not dangerous. Keywords
