Abstract
Infrared photoelectron tunneling spectra have been obtained for two different strongly coupled quantum-well structures. With this new spectroscopic technique, the energy-level structure and the internal-field configuration of the quantum-well structures at different biases can be determined accurately. The results agree with the numerical calculations performed for these structures. The observation of multiple peaks in the photoresponse in these devices indicates the possibility of multicolor infrared detection. Keywords
