Abstract
A survey for antibodies to yellow fever, West Nile, Chikungunya and O'Nyong-nyong viruses was carried out in the Sennar District in the Sudan. Using yellow fever virus antigen, the sera showed an incidence of haemagglutinin-inhibiting antibody of 95%; only a few sera (6·5%) showed neutralizing antibody to yellow fever virus, but 47% of a smaller sample neutralized West Nile virus. Neutralizing antibodies to Chikungunya and O'Nyong-nyong were also found. Keywords
