Abstract
The U in typical adult diets in New York City, Chicago, and San Francisco has been measured to determine body intake levels. Air, H2O, lung, and urine samples were also analyzed for U content. The diet data indicate uniform intake of U at the 3 sites examined. The values found were 1.3, 1.4, and 1.3 [mu]g of U/day for New York City, Chicago and San Francisco, respectively. Based on these values, U excreted in urine by inference would be approximately 0.007 [mu]g/1. The measured urinary excretion levels for non-exposed adults in the Chicago area indicate a range of values within the previously reported New York levels of from 0.03 to 0.3 ug of U/l.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
