Abstract
The classical nucleationtheory by Frenkel–Turnbull‐Fisher is extended to describe, in a unique formal treatment, formation of anisodiametric and anisotropic nuclei in isothermal and nonisothermal conditions. Based on the theory of absolute reaction rates the differential equation for the distribution of clusters dimensions is derived. The expressions for concentration of nuclei, thermal, and athermal, nucleation rates are formulated in general terms. Keywords
