Abstract
Following demineralization, the inorganic-crystalline and the organic crystalline stone material is separated into analogous fractions by a procedure used with urinary colloids. Fractions with molecular weight over or about 10,000 constitute a constant percentage of the matrix. The combination of silver nitrate staining and precipitation of fluorescent-labeled antibodies could demonstrate that the active part of the matrix is represented by the R-l fraction, the urine specific mucoprotein. Keywords
