Abstract
This work reports the first attempt at multiphoton ionization of molecules of iodine, heavy water, and carbon tetrachloride. Despite the occurrence of many different ions, only , , and C, respectively, were observed quantitatively using the technique of multiphoton ionization of atoms. "Saturation" was observed.
