Abstract
Studies on the Reactivity of Metal π‐Complexes, XXXII. On the Reactivity of Bis(2‐methylallyl)palladium and ‐platinum towards Tertiary PhosphanesPd(2‐MeC3H4)2 (1) reacts with tricyclohexylphosphane to form (2‐MeC3H4)2 PdPCy3 (3) which is fluxional in benzene solution at room temperature. The platinum complex (2‐MeC3H4)2‐PtP(i‐Pr)3 (4), obtained from Pt(2‐MeC3H4)2 (2) and triisopropylphosphane, is rigid in toluene solution up to 90°C and possesses one trihapto‐(π‐) and one monohapto‐(σ‐) bonded allylic ligand.
