Simple, high-speed x-ray diode

Abstract
We describe an x‐ray diode which is simple to construct and operate. At a bias voltage of 2000 V, the diode response time is 430 ps (FWHM). The detector was used to obtain temporally resolved x‐ray measurements on laser‐produced plasmas.Keywords
