Abstract
For pt.I see ibid., vol.9, no.13, p.2289 (1976). Reports on a theoretical study of simple ionization processes in He-He collisions in the energy range 40-500 eV. The ionization mechanism studied involves the ionic dissociation of singly excited molecular configurations into He++He-(1s2nl) states. The theoretical predictions are compared with the experimental data of Hayden and Utterback (1964), Hammond et al. (1971), Gerber et al. (1976) and Barat et al. (1973). The energy dependence of the total cross sections for the main excitation processes is also determined and compared with the measurements of Kempter et al. (1975).Keywords
