Abstract
Rats given large Na loads (50% total body Na daily for 24 days) showed no change in weight, plasma electrolytes, or muscle and liver water and electrolytes, compared to normal controls. Bone showed an 8.6% in-crease in bone crystal Na, and a loss of 24% of bone water, most of which was thought to be water of crystallization. Keywords
