Abstract
This paper continues the Monte Carlo study of the TIPS2 fluid next to surfaces by examining the structure (i) under a superimposed field imitating that of an ionic double layer next to a charged electrode, and (ii) near an uncharged ‘‘metallic’’ surface. The results are compared to those next to an uncharged, inert wall. The double layer field has remarkably little effect on the structure; by contrast, the highly polarizable surface appears to freeze the surface region. Keywords
