Abstract
Twelve dogs were subjected to a similar increase in maximal rate of rise of left ventricular pressure (dP/dt) by isoproterenol, glucagon, or calcium. Augmentation of myocardial oxygen consumption (MVO2) was less with glucagon (p2 with isoproterenol was probably caused by a metabolic stimulation of high FFA.Keywords
