Abstract
The effects of Cylas formicarius formicarius F. infestation on sweet potato, Ipomoea batatas Lam, cultivar ‘AIS35-2,’ yield were investigated over three seasons. Sweet potato yields were not affected by the amount of root damage or the number of weevils feeding within roots or crowns. However, root damage was positively correlated with increased insect population. The numbeer of weevils feeding within crowns had no apparent effect on root damage or the number of weevils per root. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
