Abstract
An analytical model of the suspended substrate transmission Iine which includes the grooves used to support the substrate is presented. The model predicts a lower cutoff frequency of the TE/sub 10/ type waveguide mode than that without the grooves. The analysis is confirmed by experiments.Keywords
