Abstract
We analyze the weak hadronic matrix elements in the nonleptonic charmed-meson decays of the B meson based on the factorization assumption. We derive the relevant form factors from the new experimental data of CLEO and ARGUS. Factorization with the large-N limit works successfully for single-charmed-meson decays. For double-charmed-meson decays, it may be consistent with the CLEO data if a large final-state phase shift is taken in the B→π decay.
