Abstract
Significant bacteriuria can be found by relatively simple screening methods in school-age children; such screening is certainly as justified as the efforts the schools now make to identify conditions having a much less significant effect on health and longevity. Once identified, significant bacteriuria deserves to be equated with pyelonephritis and requires aggressive treatment and long-term surveillance. Keywords
