SIMPLE AND TOTALLY AUTOMATIC TECHNIQUE IN CONTINUOUS-FLOW FOR ESTIMATION OF TRIGLYCERIDES IN BLOOD-SERUM

Abstract
A simple and entirely automatic technique is described for the estimation of triglycerides in human serum which, in acetic medium, are extracted by a mixture of nonane-isopropanol and saponified. The glycerol is oxidized to formaldehyde which is estimated by fluorimetry after Hantzsch'' reaction. Successive stages are discussed together with the precision of the method. The results agree with those obtained by Kessler and Lederer''s method.
