Abstract
An analysis is given of 236 events (102 ± 15 μb) of the reaction at an incident momentum of 4.5 GeV/c. The lambda polarization is large and positive up to a squared four-momentum transfer of -2.0 . The differential cross section has a dip near . The differential cross section for 87 events of the reaction is also shown corresponding to a total cross section of 39 ± 10 μb.
