Abstract
Magnetic measurements on series of RE-Fe-B hard magnets with systematic variation of alignment in the easy as well as in the hard directions have been carried out under low fields of up to 1.6 T after magnetic field cooling. The experimental results have been compared with theoretical calculations of remenence, magnetization and susceptibility. The calculations include the anisotropy constants K 1 and K 2 and a suitably chosen one-parametric distribution function of the easy axes of the form (2n+1) cos2n α. The distribution parameter n and the saturation magnetization I s ′ of the polycrystal are determined. Keywords
