Abstract
SOME fourteen years have elapsed since a Medical Progress report in this journal was last devoted to consideration of the pathology of diseases of bone,1 although a cursory survey of a miscellaneous group of skeletal disorders from the radiologist's point of view2 appeared in 1951. This apparent neglect seems to reflect pressures in many other directions during a period of unparalleled activity, rather than waning of interest in diseases of bone, neoplastic or otherwise, or lack of significant progress in understanding of them.
