Dielectronic Recombination Cross Section forC1+

Abstract
The dielectronic recombination cross section (σDR) was computed for the C1+ target ion in the region of continuum electron energies 9.0 eV<~ec<~9.3 eV. Since σDR exhibited many very sharp peaks, each of width < 0.001 eV, it was smoothed, for display purposes, by convolving with a square profile function of width 0.010 eV. The resulting smoothed cross section (σ¯DR) had values between 1018 and 1017 cm2.
