Abstract
Both free and conjugated histamine in urine were significantly lower in 12 patients with multiple sclerosis than in the control group. This was not found to be due to the presence of inhibitory substances in the urine from patients. The basis for this finding may be decreased in release/production of histamine in the tissues of the patients, and/or changes in the pattern of degradation. However, histamine- and conjugated histamine -metabolizing bacteria in urine might theoretically cause such changes. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
