Microcomputer-Assisted CCD Driver System for General Use

Abstract

We report here a CCD driver system which can operate almost any type of CCD in any type of operation mode. Since all the required clock patterns can be generated with the software, we can easily modify the clock pattern. Using this system and the frame transfer-type CCD, we obtained an X-ray image of 8.9×11.8 mm² in the full frame imager mode with a spatial resolution of one pixel size (11.5×27 µm²).
