Pulmonary wedge angiography

Abstract
Nine dogs were subjected to a total of 46 angiographies through a catheter wedged into a pulmonary artery, with simultaneous recording of the pressure. On angiography with a technically correct procedure the vascular area occluded by the catheter tip was satisfactorily demonstrated, but marked changes were observed when the procedure was experimentally altered. The mechanism of these changes is discussed.
