Abstract
The rigorous solution of a one‐dimensional fluid binary mixture with arbitrary interparticle potentials is obtained under the assumption that a particle interacts with its nearest neighbors, and that the system obeys classical statistical mechanics. This rigorous solution provides the interpretation of parameters used in the lattice model of binary mixtures. Keywords
