Abstract
Sixty-eight patients with renal failure showed variable ear, nose and throat manifestations, mainly in the form of epistaxis, vertigo, sore throat, salivary adenitis, respiratory insufficiency and deafness. Out of these, 27 cases showed epistaxis, 50 cases vertigo, 7 cases sore throat, 9 cases respiratory insufficiency, one case of sialo-adenitis and 8 cases perceptive deafness. The remarkable finding in all these cases was the high blood urea level. Most of these manifestations were rather markedly improved by correction of the renal function, helped by local therapeutic measures. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
