Abstract
The output signal of a photomultiplier is sensitive to changes in temperature. Two coefficients are required to specify this dependence: the multiplier gain coefficient μm and the spectral sensitivity coefficient α(λ). αm and α(λ) can be separated by using the photon counting technique. Results, considered to be superior to those previously reported, are presented for a range of photomultiplier types. Keywords
